Trafalgar Square
This is a blip that I never believed would be possible in my lifetime and which I sincerely wish wasn't possible now; a rally by people whose country has been invaded by an evil aggressor for no valid reason, an action by a deranged dictator that could lead to a war not only in Europe but conceivably across the whole world, and one which very possibly could be fought with nuclear weapons. It really doesn't bear thinking about. Very moving to hear these ex-pat Ukrainians singing their National songs and chants.
A great day. We went to the V&A to see firstly the Beatrice Potter exhibition and then, ironically, the Faberge exhibition. We then met up with some good friends for a very late lunch/early dinner followed by a few drinks. We have really enjoyed the day and are now back at the hotel. And being where the hotel is, there are a lot of nice cars around here. Have a McLaren in the extra.
