St David’s Day

I have daffodils flowering in the garden and they would have been the natural - if predictable - photo for today. But in the lovely spring sunshine these crocuses stood out. It was warm and still enough to get dressed in shorts and short sleeved shirt (I don’t really do T-shirts) and sit out for a while, reading papers.

Another day of worrying news eroding the beauty of the day. Elsewhere, I heard of yet more covid positive tests so while the headline numbers have been squeezed out of the news by the war in Ukraine, the infection is still around and active.
