Wild and wonderful

I'm on the west coast of New Zealand's South Island. A place where the foothills of the southern Alps meet the wild coast of the Tasman Sea. Where nikua palms and giant tree ferns sprout out of the hills. Crunchy alternative communities beside crusty coal miners and farmers. Drift wood strewn beaches and long empty roads. The kind of funky, wild, original sort of place I love.
