Gentle Annies

Back on the wild and wonderful west coast for a working retreat at Gentle Annies for the next two weeks. Hanging out with Ellen, Phil, Jesse and Jessica: an inspiring family that run have turned their little farm into paradise. A few rustic holiday houses, sweeping views and a funky cafe all add to the lovely and unique ambience here.

Up the road (four wheel drive only) Ellen and Phil have built a work of art home off the grid. Hydro-powered energy from their local stream, self sufficient in vegetables and fruit, and built by hand out of their own native wood. Following in their footsteps their youngest son (also named Jesse) is beginning his own little homestead down the road.
