Skylarks

Another beautiful sunny day again today, albeit extremely cold again to start with (yesterday I had to de-ice the car). I decided to go back to Weybourne with my longer lens to see if I could get more photos of the skylarks, it was only partially successful as it was very windy today. I can listen to their beautiful song for ages. This afternoon I did some pruning of the pyracantha hedge at the back as it's right up against the fence. I've a few scratches to show for my efforts, with it living up to it's common name of Firethorn.

Such awful news again from Ukraine. It's frankly very frightening that Putin has ordered the military command to put the nuclear deterrent forces on high alert, the first time he's done so. Not allowing Russia access to SWIFT & isolating its Central Bank could be perceived as a financially aggressive move and I'm a bit surprised we've gone that far. I hope we make some quick decisions on allowing into the UK refugees from the war in Ukraine. I also hope the planned negotiations between Ukraine and Russia at the Belarusian border go well, for all our sakes.

Day 713 / Day 4 of no Legal Covid Requirements in England (for my record only)
No Covid news due to the coverage of the invasion of Ukraine.
