Sailing, anyone?

We went out mid-morning and made a determined effort to deliver the last of the leaflets, especially as we know another batch is coming. We stopped for a light lunch about 12:30pm, because it’s good to keep the energy levels up. After finishing the leaflets we collected all the open home signs.

I saw the little Hobie sailing catamaran in the blip while walking along a suburban street in Remuera.  It was parked on the side of the road underneath a tree, looking a bit forlorn. No doubt it would have much preferred to have been out on the water!

A record 14,941 new cases were reported today, with 305 people now in hospital. Apparently 59 percent of reported cases in the last fortnight have been under the age of 30 and 12 percent over the age of 50. However, the opposite pattern was seen in those who are in hospital, with 19 percent under the age of 30 and 54 percent over the age of 50. This, apparently, is consistent with similar trends overseas.
