Light in the darkness

Of course, it’s another rugby weekend, and things don’t go well for either Wales or Scotland. In normal times, I’d find today’s rugby results distressing, but for now it really is just a game. I’m glad Wales played so well in the second half, but the result pales into insignificance. It seems incredible that while we sit in comfort watching sport, elsewhere people just like us are battling for their freedom, or fleeing for their lives. 

So in contrast to yesterday’s delicate blushing tulips, today’s crocus flower glows bravely and unashamedly out of the darkness surrounding it.
