Voting

Voted for the first time in the US. It was more crowded than we expected and this was only a Primary election where you choose the candidate from one of the parties to stand in the real election. The funny thing here when you register you have to declare which party you belong
to - Rep or Dem so you only get to choose candidates from that party. Being a complete noob in US elections I replied that I didn’t belong to either party. I was told I had to choose - so Dem it was. It highlighted just what a closed system it is with just 2 parties to choose from! Otherwise we enjoyed a cold spell the last few days but not too much impact on the roads or power cuts.
