leadership and decision-making

What terrible decisions people are having to make. It is one thing to make a decision for oneself, how much more difficult for one's family, and then to advise a population on something like whether they should surrender and hope for mercy or go make Molotov cocktails?

I'm not saying the synagogue across the street has mice, but it had a Terminex vehicle in the parking lot yesterday.

Tomorrow I get poison bait for the mice. It is stuff my neighbor uses. She had a number of reasons why, all of which sound good. AND we will hire an exterminator.

They should have taken the humane trap route.

This is the tiny little plant in the nearby retaining wall with teeny weeny little blue flowers.

I contacted someone I used to work with, at the company where I was in the Middle East division. Out of the blue, I reach out, after a billion years, she's gotten married, had three children, we have a pandemic, and I ask, "do you know why the hummus we had at parties was so bland but the stuff in the stores is so good?"

Definitely the garlic.

Garlic is native to Central Asia. The folklore around garlic is terrific and totally in keeping with its importance to human civilization. Garlic is an antibiotic!
