Looking South in anticipation

Finally, finally after over two years I have some physical quality time with my Mum. Covid and M's operations have been the main factors for postponing, but this time it actually happened. She stepped off the plane in Milan and we drove to pick her up.
Today we had the Carnevale parade at school with lots of interesting costumes. With strong winds and holiday fever it was bound to be aninteresting day.
We now have a week's holiday and some time for me and my Mum to spend together.
