Lavena - Ponte Tresa

Off to Ponte Tresa with M and my Mum for coffee and croissant followed by a brisk walk along the lakeside to Lavena, the narrowest stretch of water on the Lake of Lugano. It was a stunning day, a bit breezy, but so clear and with such bright blue skies. M insisted on another cappuccino on the return before heading to the butchers, the market and the supermarket. The young waiter was very entertaining, helpful and funny. When we talked of maybe heading to Lake Como, M in his usual way joked about his George Clooney good looks. The waiter's response was that people often mistook him for Rowan Atkinson. It was all very amusing!
In other news the war in Ukraine continues to develop. Our Ukrainian friend's sister made it out and our friend is now heading to Romania with the aim of bringing her into Switzerland.
Lunch on our balcony in the sunshine, a walk later down to the park and a dinner of lamb chops rounded our day off nicely.
