Oak

I've spent five hours today working as a volunteer planting 40 trees in a local nature reserve, as part of the Great North Wood project, reinstating an ancient woodland that ran /runs across South and South East London.  We planted oaks, rowans, hawthorn, silver birch and a few others plus did some general tidying up, and the regulatory litter pick.  There was a (bigger) group yesterday that planted 60 similar trees.

It was a really fun day, helped by some lovely late winter sunshine, and the area is going to look amazing in a few years time.
