Productive

A busy day. I gave a lift to a lady who is new to our village quilting group and was interested in attending the Quilter’s Guild group in Lincoln. She moved to the village two months before lockdown and has had a tough two years. The road into town was closed due to a two vehicle accident, so we had to go via Scampton. 

We had a speaker at our meeting, subject ‘50 shades of denim’. Very interesting and scary to learn how it is produced and the extent of pollution. The practical aspect of the talk was about up cycling. We came away with lots of ideas!!! 

It was a really good session, the first that gave you the feeling that life is getting back to normal and that there is a future. This is the third day in succession that I have driven my car.

It was sad to see on our local news that there has been panic buying of petrol in light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

R flew out of Heathrow this morning and I tracked her flight on Plane Finder. She has landed safely. I was interesting to see the change in flight distribution. Pic in Extras.

Dinner tonight will be courtesy of the local Chinese takeaway. We have ordered enough to do tonight and tomorrow. It’s easier and extends the range of dishes!!
