Medieval bubblewrap?
Took the kids to Bodiam Castle today. I'd never been before but it was great, really interesting and, as it's the holidays, there were lots of things happening. There were several people dressed up who could tell you about the castle, several spiral staircases which took you right up to the top of towers, a birds of prey display and an 'education room' where the kids could dress up in armour.
This was some of the chain mail we were allowed to touch. It weighed an absolute ton and I dread to think how long it used to take people to make it, back in the 'olden days'. It was amazing, though - I could have fiddled with for hours, much like the similar effect bubblewrap has!
Sincere apologies for the lack of commenting... things have been a bit fraught here this week, not least with having no Internet connection that's of any real use! Not sure exactly what's happened to Blipfoto either... you go away for a couple of days and it's all gone funny!
