Crocus sunburst

During all the atrocious weather over the last week or so the deep purple crocus have been steadily growing both in the village and in the garden.
With a lovely burst of sunshine today some of them have opened to give a beautiful spring like display. Decided these would be a lovely hopeful flower Friday blip. So much to be grateful for as we await Spring when there is so much unbearable news elsewhere in the world.

 There are more purple crocus flowering in the garden and the snowdrops in the front garden bed are waterlogged from last weekends storms.
