Grey Heron

As I approached the loch I spotted the young one on the viewing platform. She was pretty safe as the flooding around it prevents anyone using the platform. There were a couple standing watching her as it is quite unusual to see Heron so close. As soon as she spotted me she flew over to the grass. I can only guess what the couple thought. She had about half her fish and then flew over to the water. I could see she was watching for me so made my way over and gave her the remainder of her fish.
I was quite impressed with the dog walkers. One woman kept he dog on it's leash until she was well past me and a  man called over his two spaniels and went a longer way round to the exit.
