A day at the coast
After a delicious breakfast, we set out for Scarborough. Chris and I have never been to the Yorkshire coast so we thought we'd make a visit while we're here as Matt finishes uni this year and therefore we don't know when we'll return after his graduation as I'm not a fan of the journey!!
En route we decided to stop at Filey first and I'm glad we did as it was lovely. The beach was beautiful and the sun shone nearly the whole time that we were there. It actually felt quite warm.
When we had finished lunch, we jumped back in the car and continued our journey to Scarborough. I didn't like it as much but we had a good walk around and even saw 2 dolphins in the bay from the harbour wall.
While we were in the area, we decided to make one final stop at Robin Hood's Bay. Unfortunately, we arrived too late in the day or too early in the season and most of the shops were closed. I would think it's a lovely place to explore in the summer as it was very quaint.
We stopped off to get sandwiches on the way back and were shattered when we got in our room.
