Avalanche Debris ….

…. and spindrift (blown snow) in extra. The ski area of Glacier 3000 above Diablerets, is truly a mountaineers’ zone if you go skiing off the piste. I was on the piste watching my two friends crossing the avalanche which had probably been released with explosives before the piste was opened. It is a stunning place to ski though, views across to the main alpine ranges (second extra).
