Progress

Fortunately my vegetable garden is sheltered from the worst of the Canterbury nor'easterly. Today's it's fair honked at a consistent 40kph.

Give me a warm nor'westerly any day. Tomorrow looks like my day, warm and much less wind. I guess it all depends on your perspective and where you live relative to each wind.

Despite inconsistent temperatures and more rain than you can poke a stick at, my 'Best Boy' tomatoes are ripening. Hopefully they'll come on before blight takes hold. It's hard to avoid after all the rain.

Tomorrow looks like a good day if you're a tomato. ;-)

Today's gratitude: For the chatter and agility of chaffinches. As I work they're busy raiding the cosmos in the garden behind me.
