Oh dear, best I could come up with for a title though.
We went out this morning with M in L to meet Ali & Josie and Sandy - Colin's cousin, in what will always be the Caledonian Hotel. The lounge where we had coffee used to be part of the old Caledonian Station Concourse. We used to meet our family there when I was a child and they had travelled up from Liverpool and North Wales. The station has gone now but the Hotel remains.
We enjoyed a very catch up over coffee with scones and shortbread and some of those present indulged in a beautiful sunflower and bergamot cake. It looked a good as it tasted!
Josie smiled and laughed her way through the full 90 minutes. I took her for a wander at one point and we came across these gentlemen in the entrance hallway. I note the Scot has the ball!
Back home I did some paperwork for the meeting I'm going to on Saturday and then went out for a walk. A brisk couple of miles on the surrounding streets. It's been a lovely mild day, over 10 degrees and sunny, so very pleasant.
We've a quiet evening planned, dinner was cooked yesterday so just needs heating up.
Keep safe folks, I'm glad we've not got rid of all our covid restrictions in Scotland. I'm not ready yet.
