River Crossing
No sign of Storm Franklin - we had a beautiful sunny morning - so drove into Rothbury for a cup of tea. We parked the car in the car park and walked over this bridge into the heart of Rothbury. The River Coquet was running high and fast but hadn’t quite breached its banks.
On leaving we drove out toward Forestburn Gate a hamlet four miles on the other side of Rothbury. It was a pleasant drive albeit behind a very slow driver - don’t they get on your nerves?
Home for a salad lunch. Then paperwork until we leave for our second dose of the Village quiz hoping to improve upon last week’s score.
