Red-Shouldered Hawk Portrait
....taken today at Potomac Overlook Park.
We were feeling desperate to get outdoors for a while today, so we bundled up and headed over to this park on the Virginia side of the river for a hilly 2-mile hike.
There is the promise of some warmer weather this week, so hopefully I will get out with my camera a few times. I have been quite a slacker of late.
Maryland cases and our county's cases have dropped significantly to about 12 per 100,000 people, but the positivity rate is still a bit higher than we would like at 3.4%. We are still doing better than most of the country. When the cases drop below 10 per 100,000 and the positivity rate is under 2% we feel we will be able to socialize a bit more. We are almost there..... These are the parameters that I have followed throughout this pandemic and now with mask mandates being lifted everywhere, somewhat prematurely I might add, these parameters will be very important in evaluating our personal risk.
