Comfort Food

It has been raining heavily and gusting for about 24 hours and there is no sign of a let up. We have already decided not to undertake our Wetland Bird Survey tomorrow as the wind is forecast to gust up to over 65 mph and as it is a wooded area, it is probably unwise to risk it.
Comfort food was very much the order of the day - chicken with rosemary and lemon, wilted greens and dauphinois potatoes. I ventured out twice; once to put some fruit out for the birds and then to pick the rosemary.
