Ben Lomond - from the NorthWest
A very different view of the Ben. Normally the Ben is seen in photos taken looking up Loch Lomond , this was taken on the approach from Loch Long as we were travelling down to the football this afternoon .
My camera bag had been left at home ( not on purpose ) and all I had was my long telephoto lens on the camera just in case I saw any herons or birds of prey on the way down as we often do. Didn't see any today so I just had to make do and get a close up of the top of the Ben with my Sigma 150 - 500 mm telephoto lens so I would have a blip tonight.
No football photos at the Sons game tonight either . So difficult not having the camera in ; tthe light was very good tonight and the sunset over the River Clyde was quite incredible viewed from the stand at the game. No way I could smuggle in a lens that size.
Brief game report; we were beaten 2-1 at least the ref and linesmen made decisions shich were fair most of the time and the bovril was very tasty!
No report on the continuing saga of the failure of Tv engineer to show up. Date rearranged for Thursday. Watch this space for folow up on service if any.
