Lungolago

Heading into Lugano centre after work to meet our friends for a drink and a bite to eat, I was stopped and asked directions for the Lungolago. I must look like a local which is encouraging and I was also able to competently give directions to the young couple who asked me. The photo shows a stretch of the lungolago (lakeside promenade) just before I met up with friends at a restaurant nearby.
It was a very relaxed couple of hours. M discovered the local fish and chips (see extra) and then I said goodbye to our friends and headed off to the first evening of my Italian grammar course. It was a bit of a dive into the deep end and the pace was very fast but I am hoping the challenge will do me good.
