Mine!
We haven't seen the squirrel for a couple of weeks. Today a burst of loud chittering alerted me to not one but two squirrels performing an angry spiral chase round the trunk of the big pine tree, obviously disputing possession. They move like lightning -- all except one of the photos of both of them were just furry blurs. See extra 2 for proof they were both there. Mystère thought it was terribly interesting too. But he clearly realised the chances of catching one were zero, so he just sat and watched too. You can definitely see the tufts and the tails here, and they have such cute little faces.
Spanish lesson this morning, for both of us. Lunch at home on the terrace, then an afternoon soaking up the sun (and watching squirrels -- they came back repeatedly).
And the big news today ... S may not have found a British publisher interested in publishing his book, but he was approached a couple of weeks back by a Catalan publishing house proposing to translate it. He wasn't sure whether to take them seriously, but following phone discussions, today they sent him a contract! Yes, they are prepared to pay him an advance, and pay a translator. Wonderful news. He needs to do some rewriting to make it suitable for a Catalan audience.
Now watching the sun going down over the sea (not as spectacular as yesterday -- thanks for all the hearts and stars), and our sundowner will be Cava -- what else??
