I and H arrived this morning to fit the door in the Just in case, the gutter and down pipe on the garden shelter , board and insulate the porch ceiling and mop up all the other odd jobs I had for them. All went well until B , the specialist joiner who makes the windows, arrived to measure up for the existing windows which they are going to replace. Two of these are stained glass and so need taking out asap so that they can be sent to the double glazing people to encapsulate. So they are coming back on Friday morning to take those out. Neither of us had realised they would need to be gone so quickly but as the bathroom one took so long Bis keen to get them in the queue . The electrician also arrived to fit the porch light.
I went to Crick to meet A and her friend E for lunch. We had also planned a walk but cancelled that when we saw the weather forecast. The deli we usually go to had no space so we went to the local pub. We weren’t impress with our sandwiches so went back to the deli hoping they would have a table for coffee and cake. Fortunately 8 people left as we arrived. It was delicious! Started to rain just as I got back in the car
