Salt's Mill.
Had a lovely meeting with friends (ex colleagues) at Salt's Mill this afternoon. Lovely to see old friends especially in a favourite place and we enjoyed lunch and a good chat before looking around the Book shop and the other shops in the area.
This is the ground floor which is predominantly art related items with some huge pots and Jardinieres from a bygone age. Much of the artwork is by David Hockney a Bradford born Artist who was a close friend of local entrepreneur Jonathan Silver who saved this mill from demolition and created the iconic place it now is. Sadly he died young but this place remains his great legacy.
The village is a Unesco World Heritage site and place where I have taken many blips in the past. It is worth a visit if you are ever in the area.
