Death on the Nile
I had almost forgotten what it was like to sink into a darkened cinema seat, albeit with a mask on, and become totally engrossed in a cinema experience.
Well, that happened tonight. We saw Death on the Nile, a remake of Agatha Christie’s classic whodunit . The audience in the Macrobert arts centre was very small and well spaced out so we felt quite safe.
I found it gripping and spectacular and it was a reminder of how much we have a missed such simple pleasures as going to the cinema over the past two years. Netflix is no substitute for the shared experience of watching a film with others in an environment away from home.
