Out and About With the Family
Sunny and mild, high of 66 deg F and expected low of 36 deg F. We were up early and out the door to make the 80 minute round trip to pick up my mother for Parker’s 9:00 am basketball game. He played a great game and his team won 27-12 against one of the best teams in the league. We went home long enough to enjoy coffee. Brooklyn’s team did not win but she played really well. I was able to snag photos of both grands making their shots so I shared one from each. We had four generations of family in the cheering section. This means so much to our grands. Parker joined us for B’s game so we invited him for lunch out with our mother, my sister and BIL. The meals were exceptional. We were only home a few minutes when it was time to go back to Ridge to collect a strawberry moscato Bundt cake (bottom left) I’d won at a virtual school auction. Since we were at our mother’s parish, Parker, hubby and I went to 5:00 Mass with her. We got her safely in her kitchen and returned home. Hubby’s new electric bike arrived this evening. We had a tiny dinner and hit the recliners. Sure hope you are enjoying your weekend as much as we are. If it doesn’t snow, we will be out and about again tomorrow. Our county had 38 new COVID cases; can’t wait to report zero! Thanks for visiting with stars and kind comments. “Our favorite teams bring people together, keep family members close, bond people from different generations. Some of the happiest moments of my life involve something that happened with one of my teams”. - Bill Simmons
