Lunch Cave

Went for a walk in Dovedale today - a rather wet and windy affair! Wry glad for the big cave out of the rain where we are lunch - and the fantastic views we looked out in from it! Was impressed with kids who walked a long way, got fairly wet by the end despite coats and wellies, and all in a good mood (except for some crying when Allegra suddenly developed a painful crick in her neck which we’re still trying to work out the cause of!). We also discovered Charlee is part mountain goat - sprinting up cliff-like hillsides, perching on the edge then bounding down (on repeat). She is now exhausted!

An extra of the famous stepping stones. And another of the comical outfit Zion ended up in after I visited my favourite hippy shop in Ashbourne and a charity shop to find the kids dry clothes.

Very grateful to Joel for driving us there and back, and leading the walk. And to Tom and Ju for making the effort to come meet us!
