Amigos!

We went and joined in with the ES Church today who'd organised a 6km walk around the Salt Flats and forest. They'd paid for a proper guide (who we actually knew) to tell us about all the local flora and fauna and history too - it was thoroughly interesting! And I was so impressed at Nate walking 6km with no trouble. I'd been asked to sort some kids bits so we had a scavenger hunt - pictures on a paper they had to look out for. Plus a stone tower competition afterwards. The kids loved walking together...plus someone had brought loads of binoculars for looking at the flamingoes and various other wildlife. A brilliant few hours. Unfortunately my throat and voice got steadily worse and I've felt pretty grotty all afternoon. I did another test before we went just to make sure, and it was negative again.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Getting to know a couple better who we know a little bit through mutual friends - so good to hear their story.
2) How much the kids all loved the walk and camaraderie.
3) Learning more about the local flowers and herbs and uses for them.
