We ate lunch outside before returning to our works. More ivy stripping.
I got the Country of the Pointed Firs on audible and listened to most of it. Very enjoyable - unsentimental chronicles from an outsider view of a small Maine fishing village.
Beautifully written. It helps if you know Maine. Reminded me of Robert Frost although Sarah Orne Jewett was a generation before Frost and her writing is sharply observed and shorn of sentimentality.
A glorious day after frost and fog that lingered as I re-upped the wood store.
