Urban heat effect
I feel Chinese construction must be mentioned while I am here. It feels a bit shoddy with the result that it always feel colder inside than outside and I am generally swaddled in a gilet, two duvets and a sleeping bag, and still my big toes are numb.
Even in my respectable chain hotel this morning (think Travelodge), there was no water or electricity.
I say respectable but under my door every night there are erotic calling cards encouraging me to keep myself occupied with prostitutes. I'd much rather hire a portable heater for the night.
