From A Time Long Ago.

During an ongoing clean-out and reorganizing of my workshop/office, this print came to light.  It was taken in my workshop, judging by the instrument on the bench, around 2002 and annotated by a fellow South African friend and colleague.  He was tapping into the humor from our country which poked fun at the Apartheid state security apparatus.  An "internal memo" depicting my chaotic workshop:  the cluttered bench offering multiple places to hide things from the security police.  The habitually unwashed coffee mug, a "biological weapon".  The book on woodworking finishes: "subversive literature".    And in the shadows, a much younger alleged miscreant suspected of a dastardly plot against the State.  The original print was very badly exposed, and even the wonders of PhotoShop  couldn't make it perfect, but you get the picture.
