Out out

John and I actually went on a proper night out for our wedding anniversary. It was the first time I’d been out out for two years - the weather was absolutely horrid so big coats were required.

We had a 12 course tasting menu - very nice, not entirely sure what we ate - in fact, due probably to the large amounts of wine, I am not sure I remember most of it. I know I ate a “pebble” at one point (see extras) and what we thought was a candle was in fact a dip.

It was a good night but I suffered for it the next day. I shall never, ever, be drinking again……

The restaurant lost John’s very nice Davek umbrella - we were a bit cross about that but they rang today to say another guest had been in touch to say he’d taken it by mistake. Refreshingly honest!
