Between fen and mountains

Wild pigs in town

Evidence of the sangliers in the woods is easily spotted where the ground is ripped up with the animals looking for acorns and anything else that forms part of their diet. Here they have ventured closer to the village centre. The hunters are out twice a week keeping the numbers down. The sangliers are capable of causing a lot of damage to vineyards, orchards and outlying gardens.
There were seven of us ringing this morning but only eleven at the service. It was good to get out into the sunshine for coffee afterwards to warm up as the church has no heating.
