We did get a few hours of freezing rain last night, so things were encased in ice this morning. It makes for beautiful photos, but it also leaves a lot of damage. I am lucky that it rained here most of the day, other areas are not so lucky. Tree branches are drooping over driveways and streets, making it dangerous to drive. At one point, over 90,000 people were without power. The temperature has been dropping all day, and will be in the minus teens tonight. Tomorrow's forecast is for sunshine and a high of -8 C, so not much melting will be happening. After being stuck at home for 2 days I will be happy to get out for brunch tomorrow and hope to have a drive around to get more photos of this ice storm.
