Getting on the land

While I was out this evening I saw this farmer making the most of the fine weather over the past few days to get on the land and doing a bit of fertilizing, probably before the wet weather arrives later in the week.

It's been a bad few months for farmers with a poor harvest last summer and far from ideal growing conditions for the winter crops, and still many wet fields still in evidence, which will hinder the spring crops too.
