Cuckoo Gin

We FINALLY got to use our vouchers from Christmas 2019 tonight, for the Cuckoo Gin distillery tour & tasting.

Laura bought them for us and Steve, and we bought her a voucher for Christmas 2021 so that we could enjoy it together.

On arrival, we met the lovely Joe, who I’ve been in contact with over the last few months to arrange (and rearrange) our visit.
We had planned to go between Christmas and new year but as Mr A had covid and couldn’t taste anything, it seemed a waste.

Joe was happy to rearrange (he was also off with covid over Christmas) on the condition that we have a ‘bloody good night! when we visit.
We certainly did!

We sampled all 5 of the Cuckoo gins (double measures!!!) and were also treated to an amazing ‘half time’ pie.
I treated myself to a sliver of pie; it was delish but my calories (syns) have been saved for the gin.

It’s fair to say, a good time was had by all and we will certainly be adding a couple of the cuckoo gins to our bar at home :-)
