It’s my birthday today!

What better present than a Narwhal birthday balloon from very excited grandchildren who came tumbling in through the front door this morning with their parents!
“A Narwhal is a whale, Granny” I was informed.
We were having a birthday breakfast.
This consists of various smoothies, Croissants, Pain au Chocolat, and birthday cake (complete with one or two candles!). 74 candles would be stretching it a bit!
They each presented me with a gift they had chosen themselves in a local garden centre. It was very touching.
Having all spent the morning here they went home for lunch and we went to Lichfield to a Mediterranean Restaurant and Bar called “Ego”.
The food is excellent.
I have posted a view of the pool you can see through the window. It’s called Minster Pool and the Cathedral can be seen across through the trees.
Next Tuesday the 8th, we have a repeat performance for Stephen’s 70th milestone birthday.
Meanwhile the Narwhal is bobbing about in the front window!
