Covehithe

The tiny village of Covehithe in East Suffolk has the fastest rate of coastal erosion in the UK, having lost over 500 metres to the sea since 1830.  St Andrew's is a ruined medieval church with a "newer" small thatched church built amid the ruins in 1672. The walk along the beach revealed some dramatic falls and some shapely fallen trees.

Later, a stroll around Lowestoft revealed some other forms of dereliction, as well as a more prosperous area with some fine houses and a dramatic viewalong the beach.
