Amaryllis

At a bit of a loss for a blip today…so I ‘borrowed’ Mrs madwill’s amaryllis flower and stood it on the dining table and lit it with a bit of flash. It is quite an impressive bloom…and there is a red one on the way too…maybe in a week or so I can blip that. Perhaps I can be a bit more creative with the lighting - now you see why I don’t really ‘do’ still life!!

I did have a bit of fun in Lightroom using the new ‘select subject’ masking tool - and then inverting the selection to create a mask to tone down the background (a plain wall)…so I have learnt something today (which probably means I have forgotten something else).
