jackdaw

routine day today. spent some time getting a B&B booked for the Northumbria trip and half an hour ago I thought I'd put out the stale bread on the front lawn grass, and open the bedroom window and see what birds might visit.

A female blackbird, a few various tits, a sparrow, I think, and a few crows. When I saw this one close up I was struck by its very pale eyes and almost a matching beak! not a crow, or a rook, of which there are plenty round here, but a jackdaw. thanks to the RSPB bird identifier, but not sure if it is male or female.

off now to powerhoop and then shopping. oh that we could just pop a pill for dinner.
