two wheels...
not four!
we decided it was good enough weather to take the Chevy out for a run. John put in new spark plugs, as last time we were out the car was backfiring a bit, but as soon as we set off it was obivous that the poor car is a little sick, so we did a three point turn on a main road, not easy in this car, and came home. John needs to think about what the problem might be and what better way to have a think than to go for a ride on two wheels. The Sunbeam bike is going well just now, so I expect he will be gone for hours, kept snug around the head with his new merino wool balaclava, which he says is brilliant.
Missed a great blip earlier. Sometimes the local cycling club members leave cars in the school car park, at the back of the house. this morning a brilliant yellow vintage Chevrolet truck appeared - beautifully restored, a 1950s or 60s model. I assumed it would be there all day so I planned to get John to park our old Chevy next to it, but while we were having lunch it disappeared!! shame.
So I will pass the afternoon away with some cooking for the freezer, today's dinner, and hopefully a coffee with my neighbour - I need to go and arrange for her to feed the cats while we are away. Oh - and order some filters from Amazon.
