Asleep

Although not in their beds, but at least they are asleep (in the study while the husband caught up on some work this evening). The tiredness levels were high, neither going to sleep well last night, the youngest fell asleep around 10pm! The effects were so bad that I abandoned any hope of getting homework done after school and got dinner on the table early. Seems to have worked out. 

The dog is feeling very sorry for himself after a day at the vets, and coming home not quite the man he once was. He is moping about and cleary very, very unimpressed with life at the moment. 

Today I'm grateful for:
The vet taking the time to examine the eldests vet kit this morning, he has been desperate to go to the vets, so was quite delighted with the attention
A great big hug for the youngest from his teacher (after we could prise him off me), as he was quite adamant about not going to school 
Quiet day spent doing masters research
