The life & times of Jacks

By Jacqueline

Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my!

Day 2 of having my sister, her husband and the kids with us.

We got up quite early and once we were all ready went out for Brunch which was lovely. We have this american type place near us that has recently opened and it serves brunch on Sundays.

After that we headed to Whipsnade zoo which is kinda like safari meets zoo with loads of outdoor massive enclosures for the animals and you would drive round the areas as there is so much space with it being about 30 miles outside of the city.

It is part of ZSL though, and I think the better of the two between London Zoo and Whipsnade.

The kids had a great time and Aidan ran around a lot. It has been great to get outside and not feel like everything is freezing off you!

Pretty exhausted now though.

In this picture Aidan has squeezed in beside this statue of an elephant as he cuddles in - at first I thought he had gotten himself stuck, but no, all is well with little Aidan.

Tomorrow morning they are off for a few days to visit their friends in Dorset so I will probably do some planning and work around the house move. And relax, enjoying a nice 2 week break from work!
