Cake competition & chicken pox

Today I went to the Cake & Bake Show in Manchester. It always had been a pre-arranged "girly" trip out with Kate & Becky from (ex) work.
I happened to find myself entered into a baking competition & this was my entry- Guinness & chocolate cake. I didn't win, but it's ok! It's the taking part that counts, plus I already own what was the prize.
I also bought brownies, bread, pastry & a chocolate mould, it was a nice day out.

Ferguson has chicken pox so it was cut relatively short. I didn't mind though, sometimes it just works out that way.
