Joiner and bricklayer here. All the horrid old cables came down from the outside of the house and the storeroom at the end of the old garage was fitted out with some of the old kitchen units and a piece of worktop from the kitchen which the joiner had just stripped out in his first house. Need to recycle where we can. I finally finished my lampshade- it’s been a long saga to get it how I wanted it to look and for all the ribbon to stay on. Went over to Beeston to talk about options for the threshold between the kitchen and hall, bought some bargain fabric to make a table runner etc and called in at Dunelm for a couple of small things and ended up spending £60. Think it will soon be time to stop spending for a while! It was quite a cold day though sunny and the sunset ( blipped from Dunelm) bodes well for tomorrow if you believe the shepherds
