Tournament

We had our TKD tournament today. I was entered in patterns and sparring. I was absolutely delighted to win gold in the patterns. Unfortunately in sparring we were up against kickboxers as well as Fellow TKD'ers. I ended up going out in the first round to this guy but he went on to win gold so it wasn't that bad.

I thought I was well prepared for facing TKD'ers but the kickboxers can kick an awful lot higher than I was expecting someone at my level to be able to. It was only a few seconds in when a foot went whizzing by my chin when I was expecting them all to be about stomach level.

Never mind, it was very good fun all the same and I~'m looking forward to the British Championships next month now.
